They have a nice firm fit, which was another pleasant surprise for a horn this age. They are incredibly fast and very quiet! The slides have been freshly greased and move nice and smooth with superior alignment.

I just gave it a nice bath and re-oiled and restrung the valves, as well as replaced the bumpers with new neoprene and lined them up precisely. The valves have never been rebuilt or replated and they have SUPERB compression! I have actually had a few new horns that didn’t have compression as good as this horn! There is also virtually no play when wiggling the valve posts either vertically or horizontally. It does not show ANY signs of solder repair in its history. This horn is in INCREDIBLE condition and is the finest kept example of this series of horns that I've ever seen! This is not a refurbished horn but one that has only had one owner(prior to myself) that purchased it new in 1969.
